Porta-Potty and Football – What do they have in Common?
August 20th, 2010 by adminThey are both on the football field but not in the capacity, you might think. The Kansas City Chiefs are now using porta-pottys in their training.
The porta-pottys are being used during training for Running Backs. Quite ingenious and will get those football players ready for just about anything. The way it works is that the running back sits in the porta-pot with the door closed. The coach yells GO! Another player will then open the door, the football is thrown and the running back sitting in the porta-pot must catch the pass, which he sees just as the door is opening.
This new way training, as explained by Charlie Wies, the Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator began in 1994 when he was with the Patriots, which he learned from Mike Pope.
Now, if the football fans could get the schools to rent luxury restroom trailers for the fans, all would be good. Porta-Potties are nothing like the ones that are being used in football training today. Luxury restroom trailers have all kinds of amenities and elegant interior that will make fans more comfortable when they have to go.
The growing trend in porta-pots are nothing to ignore, you can find these luxury restroom facilities in many different locations, but of course not on the football field. The football players would certainly always miss the pass if they were in one of these gorgeous restrooms. Their minds would be elsewhere. The good news is that fans will enjoy the baby changing stations, the private stalls, and the urinals. Even running water in the sinks.
As long as football teams are adding porta pots to their training sessions, the fans are sure to want something better and the answer is luxury restroom trailers.
