Commercial Builder Fined over Toilets at Construction Site

Sunday, September 26th, 2010

General contractor, M.A. Mortenson Co, was fined $750 on August 24 for not performing maintenance on the toilets at the construction site for the new tower at Central Washington Hospital.

The State Department of Labor and Industries fine came about due to a filing on June 22 from 90 union workers that walked off their job after complaining the porta potties on site were dirty. The workers returned the very next day after the portable toilets were cleaned up and new portable toilets were added to the construction site.

The notice stated, “The employer did not ensure that toilets were maintained in a clean and sanitary condition and sufficiently supplied with toilet tissue and sanitary seat covers. This exposed both their direct employees and the employees of the subcontractors on site to the potential for gastrointestinal illnesses that may require treatment but that would not likely result in permanent impairment. This violation was corrected during the inspection.”

Well, if this construction company had been using luxury portable restrooms from VIP To Go this never would have occurred. The majority of these portable restroom trailers offer city water and sewer hook up which would certainly have helped with the mess and odor. Of course, the construction would still have to add a few necessities, but they would not have minded as much as it would have been nothing more than like cleaning their own bathroom at home.

VIP To Go restroom and shower trailers are top of the line, elegant, and practically self-sufficient and will certainly give employees something to talk about and in a good way. All have sinks, men’s side, women’s side, and are clean, modern, and some even supply music. Now, that would be a porta potty anyone could love.

Eco Urinal versus Luxury Porta-Potties

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

Everyone is looking for ways to be green and eco-friendly and the Eco Urinal may do that but it is pretty gross in my opinion. The urinal designed by Yeongwoo Kim is a winning entry in the iF Concept Design 2010, but I am not sure how well it will go over. The urinal has a place in the bottom for the guy to do his business and then he rinses off his hands above the urinal, which will flush away the waste. I do not see any soap dispensers nearby at all, so I am not sure why this is so great in just that aspect.

I would much rather use a portable restroom that has the urinals away from the sinks. This way I do not have to smell the odor of my waste while I wash my hands or and soap is nearby to ensure I get all the germs off my hands.

VIP To Go has the best and most luxurious restroom trailers for long-term rentals that will certainly be better than using the restroom and washing your hands in the same gadget.

One of my favorites is the ADA comfort elite 24 foot with ramp. This one will give you privacy, offers heat and air, and has an on board 100-gallon water tank and a 750 gallon waste tank that will accommodate 1,000 uses. So much better and eco friendly as well.

On the other hand, you may wish to check out the Luxury 24 foot Titanic luxury model offering a male side and female side with three urinals, two stalls, and one sink for the men and three stalls and two sinks for the ladies. Other features include LED exterior lights, camper white interior walls, fluorescent ceiling light package, pedestal sink, hardwood floor, skylight, and AM/FM/CD stereo system.

VIP To Go portable luxury restroom trailers sound so much better than using the same receptacle to do your business and wash your hands.

Intelligence Toilet versus Luxury Portable Toilets

Monday, August 30th, 2010

In Japan, the Daiwa House has created a new toilet which is the rave mainly geared toward the elderly. The new toilet, Intelligence Toilet will perform an analysis on a person’s urine; take their blood pressure, weight, and body temperature while the person is using the bathroom. There is a gadget in the bowl that determines the sugar levels in the urine and while the person is sitting doing their business, a blood pressure cuff on the arm will monitor the blood pressure. The floor scale is integrated into the floor and will provide the person with their weight and all this information will be presented on the computer screen that is mounted to the wall. This toilet will only be able to work for up to five people, so forget about integrating into a public place, as the computer only has enough memory for five individuals. The cost is between $4,100 to $5,850.

Now, lets look at the luxury portable toilets from VIP To Go. They are not designed to check on your health, but they are designed for comfort and for several individuals to use the facilities even at the same time. With luxury portable toilets, you can rest and relax, listen to music while doing your business and then wash your hands with fresh water.

The great thing about luxury portable restrooms is they can be placed in many different locations as long as the terrain is flat and offer a wide array of features. Some even have showers for those sweaty jogs or hiking trails. You just have to remember to bring along a towel and extra clothing.

If it were I, I would rather enjoy some easy listening music while I go, than to have a cuff around my arm and know that I am being weighed at the same. Sounds like something for the doctor’s office to me and not while doing my business. What about you? Luxury or Intelligence – What do you want from a toilet?

Which VIP To Go Luxury Restroom Trailer is Right for you?

Tuesday, August 17th, 2010

When you own a construction company, oil rig, national park, animal park, Flea Market, or offer any other outdoor activity where people gather, you need to provide restroom facilities. The answer in all cases is portable toilets.

The idea behind renting these types of facilities is that you can offer your guests or employees a luxurious place to do their business and keep them on the job or visiting your establishment for longer periods of time or repeatedly.

When you are trying to decide which portable restroom trailer you should rent, you will have to predict the features your employees or visitors will need. For construction companies the most common requirement is a portable restroom, whereas oilrigs could use both a restroom and a shower. For Flea Markets or animal parks, restroom trailers may be sufficient, whereas a national park that offers camping you may need a portable shower.

A list of features that come with the various luxury restroom and shower trailers by VIP To Go include urinals, stalls, sinks, LED exterior lights, fluorescent ceiling light, hardwood floors, pedestal sink, skylight, AM/FM/CD stereo system, AC unit with heat, lights over sink, city water/sewer hook up, pipes in the trailer for winter operation, on board water tanks, and more.

Construction sites can benefit from the VIP Delux Solar Power Unit offering a sink, fresh water flush, self-closing faucets, built in trash receptacle, weatherproof carpet, skids, and it is solar powered. On the other hand, the ADA compliance 32 foot Boomer has more space and will allow more workers to use the facility instead of waiting. Features of the Boomer include 10 units, commercial grade AC with heat, LED exterior lights, vanity lights over sink, city water/sewer hook up and the pipes are inside the trailer for winter operation so your crew can work year round.

For animal parks or Flea Markets or other public areas including rest stops you may want to check out the ADA Comfort elite 24 foot with ramp. This one is remarkable offering your guests all they need in a restroom facility. This luxury restroom trailer has tiled floors, AC/heat, and an on board 100-gallon water tank and a 750-gallon waste tank that will accommodate 1,000 uses.

If you decide you need a portable shower as well for oilrig workers or mountain climbing guests, you will not find a better portable solution than the Porta-Lisa Shower or the Porta-Lisa Plus Regal.

As you can see, checking out your options with VIP To Go for luxury toilet rental and portable shower trailers is the way to go.

Restroom and Shower Trailers Make Camping More Enjoyable

Monday, August 16th, 2010

If you happen to own a campsite of any kind, providing your guests with restroom and shower trailers will give them the luxury they need even if they want to rough it. Too many times, campers sleeping out under the stars do not enjoy using those old-fashioned porta-potties that smell like “you know what” and then there are no shower facilities at all. Instead of leaving your campers with no place to go besides the bushes or a dirty smelly porta-pot, you can now provide them a bit of elegance for when they really need to go.

Not only are luxury portable toilets a great benefit for campers, but by providing them with a portable shower it will allow them to stay clean after hiking through the forest, fishing, or even just enjoying the outdoors.

By providing your campers with family restroom and shower trailers, more families will be able to enjoy the great outdoors and spend more time at your campsite. You may wish to provide your campers with Locker Room trailers as they provide benefits the entire family can use especially if your campsite is on a lake where guests can go swimming. These locker room trailers offers a men’s, women’s, and family sides which are fully accessible so even grandpa and grandma can come along for the fun. The features are remarkable with climate controlled locker facilities, private showers, baby changing stations, suit dryers, benches, lockers, and weight scales.

No matter if you choose a portable shower rental, portable restroom rental, or a locker room trailer, your campers will want to stay longer and enjoy your campsite. Even for those that enjoy roughing it, a bit of luxury for personal hygiene will be a welcome addition to your campsite and you will certainly see the results in more repeat campers. Who knows you may even have to enlarge your camping area to accommodate more visitors next year.

Restroom and Shower Trailers at Rest Stops

Friday, August 13th, 2010

Truckers continuously drive our highways to deliver products we all use on a daily basis. More often than none truckers stop at rest stops along the way instead of parking at a truck stop. The reason truckers can do this is that many have a sleeper or birth in their semi providing them a great place to enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep. The problem is that most rest stops may have a bathroom of sorts, but no way to take a shower.

With restroom and shower trailers, truckers can enjoy taking a shower while on the road without the inconvenience of stopping at a truck stop. The state is already paying employees to upkeep the bathrooms at the rest stop, so why choose Portable toilet trailers or portable shower trailers, which will provide truckers as well as tourists an option when it comes to travel.

Tourists and travelers can also enjoy the benefits of a luxury portable toilet or even a luxury portable shower providing them a better place to change the baby or give the kids a shower after a quick bite to eat on the road.

The good news is that the restroom and shower trailers by VIP TO GO™ are not like those you have seen in the past. Actually, these porta potties and showers are quite elegant and nothing like those dark and dreary porta pots of years ago that the kids were afraid to enter. Features include flushing toilets, sink, men’s and women’s side, urinals, baby changing station in the models with a family room, mirrors, soap, paper towels, waste receptacles, linoleum floors, and an attractive interior. With these portable restrooms, those traveling through your state will enjoy stopping for a picnic or a hike at your many rest stops instead of rushing around town in search of a clean bathroom at a gas station.

Luxury Portable Restrooms – Essential To The Success Of Your Outdoor Event

Wednesday, August 11th, 2010

The wedding reception is going well. Guests are happily congratulating the newlyweds. The lovely fragrance of exquisitely blooming flowers is gently wafting in the breeze. Then someone asks: “Excuse me, where’s the restroom?”

This is a question that well-prepared outdoor event planners, whether they are parents of the bride or community festival organizers, should be able to answer with aplomb. Today’s portable restroom rentals offer a wide array of options to assure your guests’ comfort.

Factors that go into determining the number and type of outdoor sanitary accommodations include:

* How many guests are expected?

* Will there be children? How many?

* Do any of the guests have special needs?

* Will the party involve large amounts of food and drink?

We’ve come a long way since the old wooden one-holers of the past. These days, there are even luxury portable restrooms, many with low-profile sinks for children. For those with special needs, ADA-certified portable toilets feature wider openings, higher toilets and handrails for ease of access.

If your event will entertain large numbers of people for several hours, consider portable restroom trailer rentals. Many of these facilities are considered luxury portable restrooms and offer toilets that flush, water for hand washing, and air conditioning and heat if needed. There are even family models available that provide changing tables. Of course, a water source, electricity and a means to dispose of the waste water are required, and can be provided by the vendor if necessary.

For outdoor events held at someone’s home, permanent facilities might be available, but the owner may prefer to keep guests out of the house. It’s helpful to know there is an alternative that will still be sensitive to the needs of your guests.

In addition, some homeowners take on large remodeling projects involving the kitchen and bathrooms and prefer not to move out of the family home during the process. One way to handle that challenge with ease and comfort is to rent a portable restroom. These rentals can meet a family’s needs for running water, flushable toilets and showers. In a pinch, the sink can help with small dishwashing jobs, for example.

Of course, it is also advisable to check local references for your prospective sanitary vendor, just as you would for any other business you want to hire. Sometimes surprises are fun, but not when it comes to toilet facilities.

These aren’t your dad’s old Johns or Port-a-Potties. Whether you just need some extra “comfort stations” for a large party or require the luxury of private stalls, decorative interiors and climate control for a high-end corporate event, today’s portable restroom rentals provide excellent answers to that old question, “Where’s the restroom?” Call Vip To Go at 877-564-6977 to get a price quote on your next trailer rental.
